We're an Adelaide family just like you - so we are all about kids running around, playing and having a great family day out that appeals to the whole family, no matter how old your children are. We want your kids to learn something too, we want them to know where their food comes from. This is so important to us that we have vintage tractors for them to climb on and have curated a Kids Pomology Learning Trail so they can hunt around the orchard whilst understanding the process from tree to supermarket. Don't worry parents and grandparents, we are here for you too. You will love our onsite farm cafe stocked with coffee, locally baked goods and ice cream from Hokey Pokey Ice Cream Stirling!

ON FARM SCHOOL EXCURSIONS

With over 150 different schools visiting each year we've proudly become Adelaide's go to for on-farm paddock to plate school excursions through our highly developed Land to Lunchbox school excursions. Our excursions are year-level specific and curriculum-linked, giving students hands-on, real world experience learning that aligns with the South Australian Curriculum showing them where their food comes from - no matter what their age. Students explore how apples are grown, understand how commerical farm businesses operate, and take part in interactive activities designed to engage their age group. Teachers love how easy it is to organise, with all curriculum-linked pre and post excursion resources, risk assessments, and workbooks provided. We also specialise in SACE stage 1 & 2 subjects - Business & Innovation, Food and Hospitality and Agriculture. Students even go home with a bag of apples! Our OSHC Vacation Care excursions offer a simplified version of our school tours with a bigger focus on farm games and farm activities!

 

We’re a small family business - husband and wife ICU nurses with 3 daughters taking on the world of agriculture and entrepreneurship.

 

We have high expectations of our selves and have dedicated our company @Lenswood to show everyone where their food comes from - highlighting the hard work each and every farmer does to put food on our tables.
